Ways to begin an International House of Pancake franchise

We all prefer going out for eating. We have our favorite restaurants where the food is the way we like it, the service is great, and the atmosphere keeps bring us back. Most of the time, the prices are right and they have specials that enhance the dining experience.

There are a lot of restaurants and eateries that you always like to visit. It entirely depends on you to choose the place you want to visit. Some restaurants only have dinner options. Some restaurants only serve lunch. Some of the eateries are operating since a long time. Others have just opened.

IHOP is a popular eating joint. It has been around since 1958 when it established its first store in Toluca Lake, California. The parent company of IHOP, Dine Equity Inc has outlets in 49 states, Mexico and Canada. It is a popular eating joint. It offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

If you were interested in getting into the restaurant business, how do you start an IHOP franchise?

You need to have around $500,000 assets to start the business. In order to get approved, you must have some basic business experience and restaurant experience as well.  The company is not going to help you in financing the franchise. So if you do not have all of the cash for the franchise fee, be prepared to talk to a bank.

After the approval you will be given training in the main office. Strict guideline are followed while constructing the store. You must have room for 185 people. The store must be somewhere near the neighborhood with a population of 25,000 to 50,000 people. The size of the lot should be 40,000 to 50,000 square feet. The parking space should be fine for your customers.

If you have restaurant experience then owning an IHOP franchise is a wonderful idea. You will get the necessary training if you meet all the requirements. Though the chain will help you with the food and training. You will have to find the employees yourself. You will have to take the interview of the candidates.
